Four others, arrested from Coimbatore and Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, will also be in the NIA custody as the agency prepares for a detailed interrogation on a case registered in the NIA Kochi unit under various sections of the IPC and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The agency produced the six men arrested in Kerala before the NIA Special Court late on Monday.
On Sunday, a team of NIA officials arrested five men during raids on the Kanakamala hilltop in Kannur district where the men were holding a meeting.
During subsequent searches, the team arrested another person from Kuttiadi in Kozhikode district.

The NIA raids were conducted based on information that some youth in Kerala and Tamil Nadu were involved in a conspiracy to commit terrorist acts, targeting prominent persons and places of importance in various parts of south India. The raids followed joint surveillance by police teams from Kerala, Delhi and Telangana on movement of the accused.
During the searches, incriminating material including electronic devices were seized, the agency said.
The arrested have been identified as Manseed (30) from Kannur, Swalih Mohammed T (26), a Thrissur native residing in Chennai, Safwan P (30) from Malappuram, Jasim N K (25) from Kozhikode, Ramshad Nageelan Kandiyil (24) from Kozhikode and Abu Basheer (29) from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

Barely a day after the arrest of six people having links with Islamic State (IS) in Kerala, a 30-year-old youth in Tamil Nadu was held on Monday by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on similar grounds, DHNSreports from Chennai.
Police sources from the headquarters here said that the youth identified as Subani, was hiding in his father-in-law's house at Kadayanallur in Tirunelveli district. Subani, a native of Kollam district in Kerala, got married to a girl in Tirunelveli district and was working in a jewellery shop at Kadayanallur taluk.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the youth was suspected to have connection with IS after mingling with the six people arrested in Kerala on Sunday when he was living in Kollam before marriage. The investigation team also seized Subani's mobile and some documents to verify whether some of his friends also have links with IS. Reported by Deccan Herald 2 days ago.
