A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two youths at Riyawli village in the district, police said today. The incident took place yesterday in a mango orchard in the village.
The girl narrated the incident to her family members who lodged an FIR against the two youths.
Police have arrested one of the accused identified as Mehmood while the other accused is absconding.
In another incident, a youth attempted to rape a girl here, police said. The girl put up a strong resistance following which the youth ran away. The accused Sanjiv has been arrested, police said.
This news follows a series of reports of sexual crimes against minor that have been reported this week.
