Desperate times call for desperate measures. With the family having exhausting all other avenues to locate the teen, they have now started making rounds of godmen and babas. The police claim that investigations are ongoing, but there has been little headway there.
This heartbreaking wait will resonate with every family. There can be no worse fate than not knowing what has become of your loved one. Living in hope every day, and despairing as the sun slips away with still no news of the missing person.
One person, lured by the prospect of a reward, claimed he had some information about the boy, but the police caught him in his lies. There is nothing as despicable as fraudsters seeking to capitalise on the desperation and black despair of a family on the hunt for their missing relatives. To try and con them, take money as reward for false and misleading information is heinous. These charlatans should be charged with extortion and treated accordingly.

Imagine the Garden of Eden, filled with cupcakes, waffles, lollipops and a macaron tower. That's a temptation only few can resist. For those enticed by the imagery, make your dreams come true at Dessert Garden, a two-day festival designed to please dessert lovers of all hues.*Purple candy floss by Wonder Popcorn**Digital interpretation of the macaron tower for the event*
"We limit every participating name to selling one kind of dessert, which cannot be sold by others. This way, if we have 50 stalls, you will have the option to pick from 50 different categories. If you are a waffle lover, you know the exact stall to head to," says founder Nikita Harisinghani. The team does a taste test of all the new brands participating at the festival to strike a balance between quantity and quality.*Turkish delight by Dilan's Delight**Coffee Truffles by The French Affair*
The final list has a saccharine-high mix of lesser-known home chefs as well as popular eateries. On the highlights for the seventh edition, Harisinghani shares, "This year, we have Dilan's Delight that specialises in Turkish desserts sourced from the country. Likewise, we have The French Affair that offers French desserts, and Vitrine that makes authentic French entremets. Nutberry is a new brand that will serve Nutella pizzas, and Wonder Popcorn will offer purple candyfloss. Some established Mumbai names include Papacream for ice cream, fruit popsicles by Frugurpop and Shahi Durbar for Indian desserts." Other options include smoothies and mocktails, choux pastries, fudge, honey, and cookies.*Waffle Sticks by Waffle House*
Any food festival today is incomplete without photo-worthy spots. And to satisfy the selfie-lover, there's a seven-foot tall macaron tower (made by Harisinghani's team), a cupcake car to sit in, giant lollipops and a chandelier cake.*Nikita Harisinghani*
Sugar-lovers will know that a dessert binge is incomplete without a savoury interlude. Make a pit-stop at Pack a Pav for kebab pavs; Coney Island for pizza cones; sandwiches; potato sticks and select stalls offering Mexican, Italian, American and Indian fare.
http://images.mid-day.com/images/2017/nov/Ranji-trophy-S.jpg*Baroda bowlers Lukman Meriwala (L) and Atit Seth (R) return after taking 5 wickets each **against Mumbai*
In reply, Baroda made 63 for 1 in 26 overs in their first innings in the Group C match at the Wankhede Stadium. It was a combination of impressive swing and seam bowling from right-arm Atit (5 for 50) and left-arm Meriwala (5 for 52), aided by poor shots attempted by the Mumbai batsmen that sent the home team to the doom.
For Mumbai skipper Aditya Tare, who opened the innings, stood tall in making 50 before being bowled off the inside edge by Atit. Inserted in, Mumbai plunged deep into trouble to be 5 for 2 by the third over, with Atit sending back in-form opener Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane for ducks, and never fully recovered from these early setbacks.
Shaw was bowled through the gate, while Rahane edged a drive to rival captain Deepak Hooda at first slip. Tare was fifth out just before lunch, taken with the hosts and 41-time champions tottering at 103 for five. The wicketkeeper-batsman stayed at the wicket for 143 minutes, played diligently in contrast to some of his teammates when facing 82 balls and struck 8 fours.
Mumbai lost three more wickets to be 131 for eight after lunch before a 40-run stand between Dhawal Kulkarni (17) and Vijay Gohil (16) revived the innings for a brief while before both were dismissed at the same score as Mumbai were shot out at the stroke of tea. Among the batsmen who disappointed and was out before lunch was Shreyas Iyer, fresh after playing in the T20 International series against New Zealand, who made 28.
He was dropped by wicketkeeper Mitesh Patel on 5 and then nearly edged to the slip cordon on 22 before chasing a wide ball moving further away to be caught at second slip. Atit, a former India under-19 player who has a ten-wicket haul to his credit against Bengal at Lahli last season before this game, did the early damage in his 8th first class match, while Meriwala cut through the middle and later ensuredthat the tail did not wag for too long.
He used the short ball to good effect to send back Shardul Thakur and Gohil. Baroda, who began their reply after tea, played out 11 overs and advanced to 25 before they lost opener Nur Ahmed Pathan for 14, caught by Tare behind the stumps off left arm pacer Roystan Dias.
Mumbai could have sent back the other opener Aditya Waghmode too cheaply for 7 but Iyer dropped a two-handed diving catch at third slip off Dias with the score on 22. Solanki played some attacking shots to remain unbeaten on 32, with six fours, along with a sedate Aditya Waghmode(15) as Baroda were 108 runs behind Mumbai going into day two tomorrow.

Apart from Salman Khan, other actors confirmed on this list are Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol and now Daisy Shah. Apparently, Sidharth Malhotra was also to join the list, but he didn't take up the film citing date issues. However, there are several reports stating that he didn't want to get paired with Daisy Shah and therefore gave up on this big film with Salman Khan. Sidharth's 'Gentleman' co-actress and friend Jacqueline will be romancing Salman in 'Race 3'.

Confirming about the same, a source told Deccan Chronicle, "Sidharth Malhotra's disastrous run at the box office with Baar Baar Dekho and A Gentleman had put the makers of the film in doubt of his capability to attract audiences. The underwhelming opening and weekend run of Ittefaq was the final nail in the coffin and the team decided to replace Sidharth with Ayushmann Khurrana."
"Over time Ayushmann has acquired an audience base in the genre of comedy and is currently considered a more bankable star than Sidharth by film producers," added the source.
However, in his latest interview to mid-day, Sidharth spoke about Akshaye Khanna having a meatier role than him in 'Ittefaq'. He said, "The length of a role is the least of my concerns when I green-light a script. In Ittefaq, the story is told by Akshaye Khanna, who has a sizeable part in the movie. Since I don't belong to a film family, I never get into the insecure zone. Personally, I am not the one to eat into someone's work or role. It's always better to work with better actors. I am upping my game."
The actor is proud of his career choices. "For me, stories matter the most. In films like Brothers and Aiyaary, I was clear that I wanted those parts to make my resume stronger," says Malhotra. He adds that he wants to experiment with different genres. "This is the time to test the waters. I am reacting to stories rather than if I am going to get to hog the limelight."

Over the last week, motorists using the north-bound carriageway of the domestic airport flyover on the Western Urban Road, near Vile Parle, have been forced to negotiate the stretch with caution. A major portion of the safety railing on the flyover is missing, putting the lives of drivers and bikers at risk. According to locals, despite repeated complaints, no one has turned up to assess the damage.*A portion of the safety railing on the north-bound carriageway of the domestic airport flyover near Vile Parle has been missing for over a week. Pic/Shadab Khan*
Two-wheeler rider and Versova resident Hitendra Pachkale, who uses the flyover on a regular basis, spotted the wide gap on the flyover, earlier this week. "Four days ago, while returning home from Bandra, I saw that the iron rod from the safety railing of the flyover was missing. This isn't something that should have skipped the attention of the authorities," said Pachkale. "If a biker riding at high speed, loses control of the vehicle, he/she could risk falling off the bridge," he added. Incidentally, when the flyover was inaugurated around eight years ago, the safety wall wasn't high enough. It was only after a biker died, when he fell off the south-bound carriageway of the flyover, that the authorities decided to take action. The then DCP Traffic had written a letter to the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) to install additional iron railings to prevent further accidents. "Are authorities waiting for another tragedy to happen?" asked Pachkale.
Another motorist, Dheeraj Bhatia, from Malad said, "It's so dangerous to drive on this stretch, especially for bikers. At the moment, it's safest to avoid the flyover." The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) recently took charge of the maintenance of this stretch. The public works department of the state government previously maintained it.*Hitendra Pachkale*

"I do feel that I did speak about many things and I said many things but now when I look back I'm going to say that whatever may have transpired, and everything that I said about our relationship, a lot of it I think that perhaps I reacted on impulse and put it out there."
"And now when I look back, I'm like, maybe it was something that I should have kept to myself. I think there are certain relationships are so sacred that when you hurt from them or you hold on to that pain, you keep a lot of those feelings to yourself and leave it to one on one discussion," said a dejected friend about his public fallout with Kajol.

Ruby had joined the police's bomb disposal squad in June 2009. She had played major role in detecting around 41 cases during her stint with the squad. "One of her major detections was a brutal murder case in Khar East in 2015, in which she helped us to reach culprits by just smelling a slipper," police said in a video posted on its official Twitter handle, in honour of Ruby.
Ruby was suffering from carcinoma, a kind of cancer. She had undergone an operation in February and was provided radiotherapy treatment for six times to overcome the deadly decease, a senior police official said.
