According to police, the victim, a native of Mumbai, had moved to the City around a couple of years ago and was working as a bartender with a bar in Koramanagala. She was residing in a paying guest accommodation.
Around six months ago, she became close to one Kishore. He used to frequent the bar where the victim worked and gradually became friends with her, a police official said.
The official said soon they developed physical relationship. Each time the victim asked him about marriage, he said that he was waiting for his parents' approval, said the police official.
For the past few days, he had started avoiding the victim and when she confronted Kishore, he told her that he was not interested in marriage, the police said. The victim approached the Seshadripuram police and lodged a complaint.
